The quote is an estimate. The contract reads the feed again when your transaction executes and charges the ETH equivalent of US$1 at that moment, rounded up to the next wei. Anything you sent above that is refunded inside the same transaction. If the price moves up by more than the 2% buffer, the transaction reverts and nothing is charged except the network fee.
